Prompting
Director's rack
The director's rack is eroq's set of look controls — film type, era, tempo, camera gear, lens, aperture, palette, lighting — folded into every prompt server-side so a whole film shares one aesthetic.
Each choice is a short, engine-tested phrase; combined they describe a production design without the prompt turning into jargon.
On eroq
Set once in the Film tab of a Cinema film's side panel for every shot; a scene or a shot can change part of it with Override film settings. In Video, palette and lighting sit in Settings while camera move, gear, lens and aperture are written in the prompt (the Syntax menu inserts them). The API takes every field (film_type, era, tempo, camera_type, lens, aperture…).
Questions
Do rack choices cost credits?
No — they are prompt engineering, folded in for free.
Which rack controls work on images?
Film type, era, camera gear, lens, aperture, lighting and palette all apply to images as well as video. Tempo is video-only — it paces motion, which a still frame does not have.
Can I override the rack from the prompt?
Yes — camera move, gear, lens and aperture wording in the prompt is detected and beats the rack for that render, the way a shooting script beats a mood board. The look controls with no written equivalent keep what you picked.
