Seedance 2.5 — the long-take flagship
Seedance 2.5 is ByteDance's newest Seedance and the long-take engine of the lineup: one continuous clip from 4 to 30 seconds, with native sound, rendered at 480p or 720p and upscaled to 1080p or 2K by eroq Upscale when you pick those. It reads up to six reference pictures — your cast's look sheets and your elements — carries a cast member's voice sample so their lines come out in that voice, and takes a first and a last frame and a seed. It also takes a reference video: copy its motion and camera, or extend the clip, in which case only the new seconds come back. Like every Seedance, it refuses input pictures and clips of real-looking people. 98 credits / second at 720p, on the Creator plan and up.

What Seedance 2.5 is for
- →Long takes: up to 30 seconds in one clip — a walk-and-talk, a full product reveal, a scene that plays out instead of cutting away.
- →A cast that holds: up to six reference pictures — each cast member's look sheet, plus your places and props — keep faces and wardrobe steady across the take.
- →Voices that match: a cast member's voice sample rides along, so their lines come out in that voice.
- →Control: a first and a last frame pin where the shot starts and where it lands, and a seed makes a good take repeatable.
How to prompt it
- →Pick your cast in the composer and @mention them by name; @mention a place or a prop to bring that element's picture in.
- →Write dialogue in quotes after the speaker — @Mara says "We're late." — and the engine voices it with the picture.
- →Past 15 seconds, write the take as beats in order — what happens first, what happens next, how it ends — rather than one frozen description.
- →Frames and references are two modes: set a start or end frame and the frame drives the clip, so describe only the motion; cast and element pictures then ride as text.
- →Keep the seed of a take you like and change one phrase at a time.
Where it sits in the Seedance family
Seedance 2.5 is the only Seedance that runs past 15 seconds. Seedance 2.0 renders up to 1080p and adds the 9:21 format; Seedance 2.0 Fast (from Hobby) and Seedance 2.0 Mini (every account) keep the same references, voice sample and frame control for less — draft there, then render the long take here. Outside the family, Wan 3.0 is the other engine that reaches 30 seconds.

Frequently asked questions
How long can a Seedance 2.5 clip be?
From 4 to 30 seconds, in one-second steps. Seedance 2.5 unlocks on Creator ($49/month), and your plan sets the ceiling: up to 20 seconds on Creator, the full 30 on Studio and above.
How much does a Seedance 2.5 clip cost?
98 credits / second at 720p: 490 credits for 5 seconds, 980 credits for 10 and 2,940 credits for the full 30. 480p costs less per second, 1080p and 2K add the upscale pass, and the Generate button shows the exact total before you commit.
Does Seedance 2.5 generate audio?
Yes. With the Soundtrack toggle on, sound is rendered with the picture, dialogue included. Write lines in quotes; a cast member's voice sample rides along so their lines come out in that voice.
Is there a Seedance 2.5 API?
Yes. Send model "seedance-2-5" to POST /v1/videos/generations with your eroq key — the same engine, controls and credit balance as the studio. The video API reference lists every parameter.
Is Seedance 2.5 uncensored?
No. Seedance is moderated upstream by its provider; a prompt it refuses returns content_blocked and costs nothing. Motion One, eroq's own engine, is the uncensored one — and it retains nothing upstream.
