Comparison

Motion One vs Seedance

Motion One is eroq's own engine: on every account, 5 to 15 seconds at up to 768p with its soundtrack baked in, 29 credits a second, uncensored within the policy and retaining nothing upstream. Seedance is ByteDance's family — 2.0 Mini on every account, 2.0 Fast from Hobby, 2.0 and 2.5 from Creator — with seeds, first and last frames, up to six reference pictures, 1080p on 2.0 and 30 seconds on 2.5, all moderated upstream. The comparison is less "which is better" than "which is allowed to make your shot".

Which one to pick

  • →Uncensored or private work: Motion One, no contest — eroq's own engine, and it keeps nothing upstream.
  • →Everything else: Seedance 2.0 Mini on any account for drafts, 2.0 Fast from Hobby for volume, 2.0 or 2.5 on Creator for keepers — seeded, reference-driven and longer.

Questions

Why are the Seedance engines moderated?

Their provider moderates content upstream of eroq, as with every third-party engine. Motion One is eroq's own engine: uncensored within the acceptable-use policy, and fully private — it retains nothing upstream.

Is Motion One free?

It needs no plan — every account can reach it. It is not free to run, though: 29 credits a second, so a 5-second clip is 145 at 768p and a 15-second one 435 — the 40 welcome credits cover five seconds at 480p (35 credits), the lowest per-second rate on eroq.

Can I start on Motion One and move to Seedance later?

Yes. One wallet pays for every engine: Seedance 2.0 Mini is on every account already, and a plan unlocks 2.0 Fast, 2.0 and 2.5. The catch is content — work that Motion One renders may be refused by the moderated engines.

Does Motion One take a seed or an end frame?

An end frame, yes — set a start and an end frame and it interpolates the motion between them, and an end frame can ride on its own too. A seed, no: a re-render is always a fresh take, so batch several and keep the best rather than trying to reproduce one. Every Seedance engine takes both.

What resolution does Motion One render?

480p or 768p, in 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3 or 3:4, in clips of 5 to 15 seconds, and 1080p and 2K with an upscale pass after the render. Motion Pro, eroq's other uncensored engine, renders 720p or 1080p clips of 5, 10 or 15 seconds; natively, 1080p or more means a third-party engine (Seedance 2.0, Veo, Hailuo 3, Grok Imagine and Wan 3.0), all of them moderated upstream by their providers.
