Text-to-video
Text-to-video is the generation of a video clip from a written prompt alone. The model synthesizes subject, motion, camera and lighting from the description, typically producing clips of a few seconds.
Modern text-to-video engines render coherent motion over a few seconds, up to 30 on the longest ones. The prompt describes what is in frame, what moves, how the camera behaves and what the light does; the engine invents everything else. Quality varies by engine: some excel at human motion, others at physics or dramatic light, and more and more of them render sound with the picture.
Longer pieces are assembled from several clips — a storyboard — rather than generated in one pass.
On eroq
The video studio serves 16 engines under one composer: Seedance, Veo, Kling, Hailuo, Runway, Wan and Grok, plus the uncensored Motion One. Camera moves written in the prompt (or inserted from the Syntax menu) are detected and sent as camera directions; Cinema lines shots up, scene by scene, into one film, and Extend carries a clip on from its last frame.
Questions
How long can text-to-video clips be?
It depends on the engine and your plan: 5–15 s on eroq Motion One and Hailuo; 5, 10 or 15 s on Motion Pro; 4–30 s on Seedance 2.5; 4, 6 or 8 s on Veo; 3–15 s on Kling; 4–15 s on Seedance 2.0, Seedance 2.0 Fast and Seedance 2.0 Mini; 2–10 s on Runway Gen-4.5; 1–15 s on Grok Imagine; 2–30 s on Wan 3.0. Your plan caps the length (10 s free, 15 s on Hobby, 20 s on Creator, 30 s on Studio and up).
What makes a good text-to-video prompt?
One paragraph naming subject, motion, camera, light and mood, 30–80 words, one action per clip.
Which video engine should I start with?
On every account: eroq Motion One, Motion Pro, Seedance 2.0 Mini and Veo 3.1 Lite. eroq Motion One and Motion Pro, eroq's own, are the uncensored ones, and five seconds on eroq Motion One at 480p is 35 credits, inside the welcome balance. The rest need a plan: Seedance 2.0 Fast, Veo 3.1 Fast, Kling 3.0, Hailuo 3 Max and Wan 3.0 from Hobby; Seedance 2.5, Seedance 2.0, Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0 Pro, Hailuo 3, Runway Gen-4.5 and Grok Imagine from Creator.
