Look sheets

One generated sheet per character or element is the identity every render reads; a place or a product without one cannot be cast.

A look sheet is one image — a turnaround of heads and full-body views for a character, a hero sheet for an object, a scene sheet for a place — generated from the reference photos and used as the reference in every render afterwards. It is what keeps a face, an outfit or a product the same across images and clips.

Generating one

  • It is a step of the creation dialog, made from your photos as soon as the character or element exists (no need to shoot the angles: the sheet draws them). Later, on its page, under the photos, click "Generate identity sheet". The Reference photos gauge shows how many you have: 1 is not enough, 3 is enough, 4 is recommended and 9 is maximum. With no photo at all, write a description instead.

  • Review the new take: "Use this sheet", "Try again" or "Discard". Regenerate takes an optional direction ("keep her hair short", "the red version of the jacket") on top of the references, and Fine-tune can redraw the photos in another style.

  • The sheet you use becomes the identity. It is priced like one image on its engine, shown on the button; every take stays in your Library.

The gate

A place or a product without an accepted sheet cannot be cast in an image or a clip: the render refuses before charging. A character passes with any picture (its sheet, else its card or latest photo), and only one with no picture at all is stopped; without a sheet its face simply holds less well, and Replace offers to create one. A style and a virtual product have no sheet. The Text tool never needs one. When you add photos newer than the sheet, it shows "Out of date" and suggests regenerating.
