Create a character

A character is a persistent cast member: a name and persona, photos or a description, an identity sheet and a voice, @mentionable in every tool.

  1. 1

Characters → New (or the create link at the bottom of any prompt's @ list) opens the "New character" dialog, step by step, wherever you are. First step, How: From photos (a face you have the rights to), From a description (their face is imagined from your words, no photo needed) or Design from traits (pick a few traits, see several faces, keep one).

  2. 2

From photos: add 1 to 9 photos of the same person, at least 512 px on the long side (larger ones are downscaled on upload); the first one becomes their card. Consistent photos (same hair, same style) give a faithful identity sheet; mixed ones make the engine pick.

  3. 3

Who they are: the name (how you call them in a prompt), age (18 or older), and as much as you like of their persona, their voice (a roster voice or one of your clones) and their style. Then the Identity sheet step: it is drawn from the photos (or the description) as soon as the character exists, unless you choose Not now. Afterwards the character has one page with two tabs: Details (the card, its photos and the identity sheet right under them) and Content kit (photos of the character for social media, saved in a Library folder).

Avatar versus identity

The avatar is card art: it is what you see on the character's card. Identity comes from the identity sheet; until there is one, renders fall back on the card or the latest photo, and the face drifts more. Upload a pretty avatar; feed references to the sheet.

Who a character can be

An original, fictional person, 18 or older. Depicting real, identifiable people is banned, and a character sheet that describes a minor is refused before anything renders.
