Platform
Webhook
A webhook is a signed HTTP callback a platform sends to your server when an asynchronous job finishes, so you do not have to poll. Video generation, which takes minutes, is the canonical case.
Signatures let the receiver verify the payload came from the platform.
On eroq
video.generation.succeeded / failed events with a Stripe-style eroq-signature header, configured in the developer dashboard.
Questions
Do I have to use webhooks?
No — polling GET /v1/videos/generations/{id} works too.
Which events does eroq send?
video.generation.succeeded and video.generation.failed, plus a test event you fire yourself from the dashboard. Images, speech and chat answer on the request itself, so there is nothing to call back about.
How do I verify an eroq webhook?
Recompute the signature. The eroq-signature header carries a timestamp and a hex digest — HMAC-SHA256 of the timestamp, a dot and the raw body, keyed with the endpoint secret shown once when you created it.
