Vertical AI clips for TikTok and Reels, set up in one sentence
Say vertical, TikTok or Reels and Ask sets 9:16. Clip lengths per plan, three engines for short clips, takes, and a weekly batch routine with its credit math.
A vertical clip is four decisions — format, length, engine, subject — and Ask takes all four in one sentence. Type "vertical, 5 seconds, a barista slides a latte toward the camera" into the bar at the top of the studio home, and Clap, its assistant, answers with a plan: that clip at 9:16 and five seconds, its engine and its exact credits, and an Approve button that renders it right in the chat. Prefer to tweak it first? Say "open it in Video" and the Open Video → button under the reply opens the Video tool set to 9:16 and five seconds, with the prompt written. Nothing renders until you approve, or press Generate.
This guide is the short-form side of Ask, from the words that mean 9:16 to a weekly routine and its credit math.
The words that mean 9:16
Any of these sets the clip to 9:16: vertical, portrait, TikTok, Reels, Stories, Shorts.
A vertical clip for Reels: a woman in a yellow raincoat runs up neon-lit stairs in the rain, tracking shot
→ Plan · 9:16 [Approve]
The plan under Clap's reply says what it set, with the engine it picked and the price; ask for the Video tool and a grey line says the same, with a button that opens it filled in. Ask only sets what you asked for — here the format and the camera move. Everything else stays at the engine's defaults in a plan, or as the Video tool has it, the engine included: the last one you used, or Motion One, eroq's own engine, on a new account.
Other placements: landscape, horizontal or YouTube is 16:9; square is 1:1; cinema or ultra-wide is 21:9 (video only). Images take 1:1, 3:4, 4:3, 9:16 and 16:9.
Length, and what each plan allows
Say the seconds — "5 s", "a 10-second clip" — and the plan, or the page, snaps them to what the engine renders and what your plan allows. Longer clips unlock with a plan: up to 15 s on Hobby, 20 s on Creator and 30 s on Studio. Pricing has the rest.
Vertical, 10 seconds: a cyclist crosses a stone bridge at dawn, slow orbit
→ Plan · 10 s · 9:16 [Approve]
On Seedance 2.0 Mini, five seconds is 75 credits and ten is 150: test a hook at five, and give ten to the clips that earned it.
Three engines for short vertical clips
Prices are credits per clip at the engine's default settings:
| Engine | 5 s | 10 s | Plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2.0 Mini | 75 | 150 | any plan |
| Wan 3.0 | 215 | 430 | Hobby |
| Kling 3.0 | 270 | 540 | Hobby |
- Seedance 2.0 Mini is the cheapest line in the table — the one to hold a daily cadence on. Say "Seedance" and Ask sets it.
- Wan 3.0 opens on Hobby and goes long — up to 30 seconds, where your plan allows it. Say "Wan".
- Veo 3.1 Lite, on every plan like Mini, renders 4, 6 or 8 seconds rather than 5 or 10 — 176 credits for eight. Say its full name: "Veo" alone means Veo 3.1, which needs Creator.
- Kling 3.0 is what "with Kling" means: a family name sets its standard engine, not the Pro. It unlocks with Hobby; on a plan without it, Clap says which plan unlocks it, and set up in Video it shows the plan badge next to the Open Video → button, the page opening with its Unlock button.
Vertical, 5 s, with Kling: a white sneaker drops onto wet asphalt at night, slow orbit
→ Plan · Kling 3.0 · 5 s · 9:16 [Approve]
Not sure? Ask "what's the cheapest video engine?" or "which engine does 1080p with sound?" — Clap answers from the studio's live catalogue, engines and prices by name. The engine guide has the rest.
Takes: one to four
Ask sets one to four takes — say "three takes" or "two versions" — and each take is a clip of its own: a render each in one plan, or a batch on the Video page. Three takes of a five-second Mini clip cost 225 credits.
Three takes of a vertical 5-second clip: a skater drops into an empty pool at golden hour, FPV
→ Plan · 3 renders · 5 s · 9:16 [Approve]
Spend takes on the hook and keep the rest at one; batching takes goes further.
A weekly batch routine, by follow-ups
The thread keeps context, so after the first sentence each clip is a short one. Five clips a day, one thread per day:
- Open each day with a full sentence — format, length, subject and a camera move. Name an engine when you want a particular one; otherwise Clap picks one for the plan, and the page stays on the last one you used.
- Approve in the chat, or open and generate. Approve renders each clip right in the chat. To render on the page, say "open it in Video", click Open Video →, press Generate, then use the browser's back button, or Home in the left rail and the chat in the column, to get back to the day's chat. Or press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) on any studio page, type the next ask and pick the last row, Ask eroq: "…": it goes to the chat in progress.
- Follow up with what changes. "The same, but at night", "rather with Kling", "make it 10 seconds".
- Read the plan every time. It shows 9:16, the seconds, the engine and the price before you approve; the grey line does the same for the page. If something is missing, say it again.
- Start a new chat for the next day's five.
Vertical, 5 seconds: a barista slides a latte across a marble counter toward the camera, slow push-in
→ Plan · 5 s · 9:16 [Approve]
The same, but a matcha latte, shot from above
→ Plan · 5 s · 9:16 [Approve]
Rather with Kling
→ Plan · Kling 3.0 · 5 s · 9:16 [Approve]
To save into a folder of your library, work on the Video page: "save it to my TikTok folder" sets it there, and the folder must already exist. More follow-ups are in the conversation guide.
The credit math for a week
Five clips a day is 35 a week. One take each, at default settings:
| Routine, 5 clips a day | Credits a week | Four weeks |
|---|---|---|
| Seedance 2.0 Mini, 5 s | 2,625 | 10,500 |
| Seedance 2.0 Mini, 10 s | 5,250 | 21,000 |
| Veo 3.1 Lite, 4 s | 3,080 | 12,320 |
| Four on Mini + one Kling 3.0 hook, 5 s | 3,990 | 15,960 |
| Kling 3.0, 5 s | 9,450 | 37,800 |
Set that against a plan's monthly credits: Hobby is 1,800 for $15, Creator 6,000 for $49, Studio 20,000 for $149. The base routine — five Mini clips a day at five seconds — runs 0.69 weeks on Hobby's credits, 2.29 on Creator's and 7.62 on Studio's. Two takes of everything doubles every line. When a week runs past the plan, a Starter pack adds 1,000 credits for $10.
What Ask will not do
- Render by itself. Every render waits for your click: Approve on a plan, or Generate on the page, with the usual credit check. Asking on Auto is free.
- Caption, add music, post or schedule. Ask makes the clip and stops there. Captions and music go on in the Editor, and posting and scheduling happen in the apps you already post with.
- Upscale or lip-sync. eroq has neither, and Ask says so instead of pretending.
- See inside your clips. "Open the latte clip" finds renders by the words of their prompt or title, not by what is in the picture (finding renders by description).
The wider vertical workflow is on the social shorts use case.
FAQ
How do I make a 9:16 AI video for TikTok?
Type what you want into Ask with "vertical", "TikTok", "Reels", "Stories" or "Shorts" in the sentence. Clap's plan confirms 9:16, with the engine and the price, and Approve renders it in the chat. Say "open it in Video" instead and Open Video → opens the Video tool set to it, with the prompt written; press Generate when it looks right.
How long can an AI clip for TikTok be on eroq?
Up to 15 seconds on Hobby, 20 on Creator and 30 on Studio. Whatever you ask for, the plan, or the page, snaps to what the engine renders and what your plan allows.
What is the cheapest engine for daily vertical clips?
Of the engines here, Seedance 2.0 Mini: 75 credits for five seconds, on any plan. Say "Seedance" and Ask sets it; ask "what's the cheapest video engine?" to check the live catalogue.
How many credits does posting every day take?
One five-second Mini clip a day is 2,250 credits over 30 days; five a day is 11,250. Compare that with Hobby's 1,800 or Creator's 6,000 monthly credits, and double it if you shoot two takes of everything.
Does eroq add captions or post to TikTok for me?
Not by itself. eroq renders the clip; captions and music go on in the Editor, and posting and scheduling happen in the platform's own app.
Can I say the request instead of typing it?
Yes. Tap the mic in the bar and speak. It uses the browser's own speech recognition — Chrome, Edge and Safari; the mic is hidden in browsers without it, such as Firefox — and when you stop talking, the words send themselves. The voice commands guide has examples.
Open the studio, type "vertical, 5 seconds" and your first shot, and read the plan before you approve it, or open it in Video to tweak it first.
