# MCP & CLI

> Use eroq inside ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and coding agents — plus the terminal CLI.

eroq is a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server at https://eroq.ai/mcp: connect it to Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code or any MCP client and the generation tools (images, video, speech) appear inside the app. **No key needed** for OAuth-capable apps: connecting opens an eroq consent page and the app gets its own revocable key, listed as `<App> (connected)` under API keys (OAuth 2.1 + PKCE, dynamic client registration and client ID metadata documents; discovery at /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource). Other clients pass an API key as a Bearer header; clients that cannot send headers use `https://eroq.ai/mcp/<key>` — that URL is then a secret. Same wallet, same flat credit prices as the API; failed renders refund themselves. One-click buttons for every app: https://eroq.ai/mcp

## Connect (no key)

### Claude

Connect eroq to Claude: https://claude.ai/customize/connectors?modal=add-custom-connector&connectorName=eroq&connectorUrl=https%3A%2F%2Feroq.ai%2Fmcp

```
https://eroq.ai/mcp
```

1. Click « Connect eroq to Claude » — Claude opens « Add custom connector » with the eroq URL already filled in.
2. Click Add, then Connect: eroq opens, you sign in and click Allow.
3. In any chat, switch eroq on from the tools menu and ask: « make a 16:9 image of a neon alley in the rain ».

### ChatGPT

Open ChatGPT: https://chatgpt.com/

```
https://eroq.ai/mcp
```

1. In ChatGPT (web), open Settings and turn on Developer mode — available on Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu.
2. Create an app with the + button: name it eroq, paste the MCP server URL above, pick OAuth as the authentication.
3. Sign in to eroq and click Allow, then choose eroq from the composer's developer-mode tools.

### Claude Code

```
claude mcp add --transport http eroq https://eroq.ai/mcp
```

1. Run the command above in your terminal (add --scope user to make eroq available in every project).
2. In Claude Code, type /mcp, select eroq and choose Authenticate — eroq opens in your browser; sign in and click Allow.
3. Ask Claude Code for what you need: « generate a 1:1 hero image for the landing page ».
4. Prefer the plugin? /plugin marketplace add https://eroq.ai/claude-code/marketplace.json, then /plugin install eroq@eroq.

### Cursor

Add to Cursor: cursor://anysphere.cursor-deeplink/mcp/install?name=eroq&config=eyJ1cmwiOiJodHRwczovL2Vyb3EuYWkvbWNwIn0=

```
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "eroq": {
      "url": "https://eroq.ai/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

1. Click « Add to Cursor » and confirm the install in Cursor.
2. Open Cursor Settings → MCP: eroq shows « Needs login » — click it, sign in to eroq and click Allow.
3. Ask the agent: « generate three 16:9 hero images for the pricing page ».

### Visual Studio Code

Install in VS Code: vscode:mcp/install?%7B%22name%22%3A%22eroq%22%2C%22type%22%3A%22http%22%2C%22url%22%3A%22https%3A%2F%2Feroq.ai%2Fmcp%22%7D

```
{
  "servers": {
    "eroq": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://eroq.ai/mcp"
    }
  }
}
```

1. Click « Install in VS Code » and confirm.
2. Start the eroq server when VS Code asks and sign in to eroq in the browser (Allow).
3. In Copilot Chat, switch to agent mode and ask for an image, a clip or a voice line.

## With a key

```toml
# Codex CLI — ~/.codex/config.toml (local stdio server via the eroq CLI)
[mcp_servers.eroq]
command = "npx"
args = ["-y", "@eroq/cli", "mcp"]
env = { EROQ_API_KEY = "eroq_sk_YOUR_KEY" }
```

```http
POST https://eroq.ai/mcp
Authorization: Bearer eroq_sk_YOUR_KEY
```

## Tools

- `generate_image` — text or reference to image; waits for the render and returns the picture plus a link (model price). Slow cold start → a job id for `get_image_status` (free).
- `generate_video` — async render; poll `get_video_status` (free) with the returned job id.
- `generate_speech` — TTS MP3; roster voices, clones, or `char:<id>`.
- `generate_music` — a song with vocals from one sentence, or your style + lyrics (`[Verse]`, `[Chorus]` tags); async, poll `get_music_status` (free) with the returned job id.
- `enhance_prompt` — draft-to-engine-grade prompt rewrite, or a whole song (title, style, lyrics) with `kind: music` (no credits; inventing from an empty draft is free, rewriting a draft needs a paid plan).
- `list_models`, `list_voices`, `list_characters`, `get_account` — free discovery.
- `list_flows`, `run_flow`, `get_flow_run` — your Flows: list them (free), run one by id or exact name with a prompt or a picture (Studio plan; its renders cost their usual credits), follow the run (free). A post step waits for you in the studio.
- `make_edit` — free: your clips cut on a song's beats in a style (aura farming, motion, clipping); answers a studio link that lays the edit out in the browser and opens it, editable, ready to export as an MP4.

## CLI

The `@eroq/cli` npm package (Node 18+, zero deps) drives the same API from the terminal; `eroq mcp` runs a local stdio MCP server that saves media as files — ideal for coding agents. `eroq install <client>` prints the connect snippet.

```bash
npm install -g @eroq/cli
eroq login
eroq image "portrait of a starship mechanic, warm hangar light, 35mm" --aspect 3:4
eroq video "slow dolly-in on a neon-lit alley in the rain" -s 8 --aspect 9:16
```
